We are Headease; Established to structurally improve digital healthcare for mental health institutions and healthcare authorities

Mental health care suffers from enormous capacity problems. As a result, an unacceptable number of people do not receive the help they so desperately need. And although the problem is complex, the use of really well-functioning digital solutions such as targeted applications, data exchange and interoperability can provide enormous relief in a relatively short period of time.

How we contribute

We help healthcare institutions and innovative healthcare programs with software development, technical consultancy, and the creation of (open) standards. We firmly believe that the use of open-source software in combination with (open) standards and collaboration with stakeholders will always lead to added value.

We always use the following principles:

  • Privacy & Security by design.

  • Patient and care provider central.

  • Ownership of data.

  • Distributed network.

  • Use of open standards.

Why

We believe that mental health care should be much more accessible and efficient.

We believe that with our knowledge, experience and technology we can make both practitioners and clients enthusiastic about using digital healthcare resources.

We believe that we can make a substantial contribution to a healthier and more vital society.

How

Contrary to monolithic systems, we advocate that software and standards should always be like a layered cake. On the outside the cake is solid but on the inside, each layer is scalable and relatively easy to implement and maintain. This approach ensures that maintenance, upgrades, and replacing applications in the architecture will be relatively easy.

We achieve this by liaising with governmental bodies and working closely together with our clients, the Association of Healthcare Providers for Healthcare Communication (VZVZ), Zorginstituut Nederland (ZIN), and other new projects in the mental healthcare sector.
